Elon Musk responded on Twitter to the rumor that Meta is working on a competing Twitter app.
Rumor has it that Meta began coding “Project 92” three months after Elon’s acquisition of Twitter, and that the app’s generic name would be “Thread”.
In an internal meeting last week, Meta chief product officer Chris Cox reportedly called Project 92 “the answer to Twitter” and stated that it would allow Instagram users to automatically transfer followers and user data directly to the new app. In addition, Cox reportedly told employees that they wanted a “proper working” version of Twitter, prompting cheers from those present.
After Elon Musk’s tweet above, one user commented to pay attention because Mark Zuckerberg is indeed a jiu-jitsu practitioner.

Then, the Meta CEO responded by posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet as an Instagram story, captioning it:
