Another 200 million vaccines were purchased in the United States

Biden said: We have now bought enough vaccines to vaccinate all Americans. We’ve bought 100 million doses each from Pfizer and Moderna, so our stock is going to go up to 600 million doses.

The US President said: “Another good news is that we have agreed with both companies, and they are now contractually obligated to speed up delivery of the 100 million doses they have committed to by the end of May instead of the previous June end date.”

With a population of approximately 330 million, 73 million of whom are under the age of 18, the United States will need an additional 60 million doses to vaccinate every American. But there are many in the country who state that they are not ready to accept the vaccine and that there is no approved vaccination for children yet.

Pfizer can be given to children up to 16 years of age, but Moderna can only be used by adults 18 years of age or older. However, those age limits may soon be expanded, a virologist researcher with the US government’s Coronavirus Task Force said in January. Anthony Fauci spoke at a press conference that Moderna is already testing a vaccine suitable for children 12 and older, so it is expected that the younger age group will receive the vaccine by the end of spring, early summer.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 68 million doses of the vaccine had been distributed in the country by Thursday, and about 68 percent were given.
