“Brexit has proven our politicians as useless as the commissioners in Brussels,” insisted the eurosceptic politician.
Nigel Farage, one of the biggest advocates of Brexit, thinks Brexit has failed, he writes Politico.
On Monday night’s BBC Newsnight programme, the former leader of the Brexit Party admitted it
The UK did not benefit economically from leaving the bloc.
“I fear that Brexit has proven our politicians as useless as the commissioners in Brussels. We have mishandled this whole thing.” Farage said in response to a series of statements suggesting that Brexit has had a negative economic impact.
Brexit has failed
And then he added: “Brexit failed and the Conservatives failed us very badly”. Asked if it would be better for the UK to remain in the EU, Farage replied “Don’t think about it for a moment.”
Nigel Farage, who now presents a program on Britain’s GB News, has not ruled out a political comeback. He is currently the honorary president of the right-wing populist Reform Party in the UK, which he founded from the Brexit Party, Politico reports.
