A total of three Athenian properties associated with Eva Caylee were raided Politico.
At the same time as they searched Greek homes, the Brussels authorities allowed a former vice-president of the European Parliament accused of corruption to travel to the Schengen area.
The inspections were carried out under a European investigation warrant.
Authorities investigated Kylie’s home, her brother’s home, and a home where Kylie and her suspected partner, Francesco Giorgi, ran a real estate company. The Belgian Public Prosecutor’s Office searched the house and seized computers.
It wasn’t just corruption
The newspaper also reported that house searches took place in Athens from Monday to Wednesday. Lawyers for the former Brussels leader announced: Eva Kayli has not yet wanted to return to her country, although she can move freely within the Schengen area.
Last December, Kylie made headlines for being one of the first arrested over the Qatar-related corruption scandal in Brussels.
The former Socialist vice-president of the European Parliament has been charged with corruption after nearly €1.5 million in cash was seized during a search of his apartment in Brussels by Belgian authorities.
But not only is he accused of corruption, according to the indictment, he may have defrauded the EP of one hundred thousand euros through his lieutenants with false payments and may also have accepted bribes. Eva Kylie continues to plead not guilty.
