According to science, these are the ten happiest songs in the universe

We don’t know why you have to be sad, because summer is here, life is full of vitality, outdoor entertainment venues are crowded, girls pack less and less textiles, and life is beautiful. If, despite all this, you are still in control of yourself, listen up now, because science will tell you what you need to listen to in order to get out of the hole as quickly as possible.

In 2016, a Dutch professor of cognitive neuroscience, Dr. Jacob Jolig, asked a British band to conduct research on which songs make people happiest. From the data collected, he then developed a formula by which he would select the ten happiest songs in the universe. His method isn’t entirely clear, but when compiling the list, he not only paid attention to the melody, but also to the lyrics, and he also said that a really happy pop song has a slightly faster-than-average tempo. Here is the list:

1. The Queen – Don’t stop me now

2. Oppa – The Dancing Queen

3. The Beach Boys – Good Vibrations

4. Billy Joel – Uptown Girl

5. Survivor – Eye of the Tiger

6. Monks – I am a believer

7. Cyndi Lauper – Girls just wanna have fun

8. Bon Jovi – Livin’ in Prayer

9. Gloria Gaynor – I Will Live

10. Katrina and the Waves – A Walk in the Sunshine
