During the Sunday afternoon program, our units finished on the podium in three of the six 5,000-meter races. Noble Rica He didn’t find a rival in the U23 K–1 5000 metres, but dám Kaed was also very close to the brightest medal, finishing second in the K–1 5000 metres. In canoes, Sára Lili Matkovics excelled, standing on the third step of the podium in the C-1 Youth 5000 metres.

The 5,000m finals started with the U23 age class sculls. Laura Gönczöl started first for the girls, then Fodor Nicholas for the boys. Laura Gönczöl finished third several times, but eventually missed the podium in the C-1 5000 metres. The Kazakh girl stood out from the field, no one could approach her, and Laura was in a match with Iranian and Moldovan girls on the podium. He finished third on both the first and fifth laps, but on the last lap his rivals proved better. Nicholas Fodor kicked his boat into ninth place in the 20-person field in the C-1 5000 metres.

Réka Nemes excelled in the U23 K–1 5,000-meter final, and was the only competitor in the first two runs, but after the running stage she managed to outrun the entire field. With a confident spin, he won his second gold medal at the World Championships in age groups in Oronzo.

I don’t know what happened to the Argentine girl, it was easier mentally. It was rather fun running, but I had to be careful not to fall into the water, because the waves are quite big. It’s very hard to plan for a 5K, instead you have to adapt to the circumstances. I love wind, but this was just a bit too much for me

For boys, in the same number, Tamás Erdélyi finished eighth in the over-30 field.

The last five thousand finalists of the Sunday Youth Program were staged. Sára Lili Matkovics battled hard in the C-1 with 5000 metres, during the six laps the order of the top three main players changed almost continuously. He made a good start, and by the second lap he was third. Meanwhile, the Kazakh girl who was in second place was fed up. Lily was also second in a division, but the German girl overtook her in the fourth round. From then on, the final ranking was decided. Sarah Lilly Matkovich managed to reach the third place on the podium, after the Canadian and German girls.

At the same distance for the boys, Tamás Szöllősi was still close to the podium in the first laps, but later the field split up a lot. Tamás finally launched his boat in sixth place in the C-1 Youth 5000 metres.

Among the young kayakers, Maja Horvath and Adam Kaede represented the Hungarian colours. Maja had been in the lead for a long time, but the order of arrival was finalized from the third lap, with Maja Horváth finishing fifth and reaching the K-1 5000m final.

For the boys, dám Kaed had trouble on the field, and we saw a lot of pushing and crashes on the exit before the running stages. Despite this, Adam managed to lead from about lap three and didn’t find any challengers. However, on the fifth lap, the Spanish rider appeared, who changed pace and managed to overtake the Hungarian boat. There is no doubt that Ádám Kaed fought hard and could not be disappointed one bit with the silver medal he won in the K-1 5000 metres.
