Kevin Constantine, who left the position of captain of the Hungarian men’s ice hockey team and head coach of the Hydro Fehérvár AV19 team despite his existing contracts, continues his career as head coach of the Wenatchee Wild in the Western Hockey League (WHL).
According to the professional portal jegkorongblog.hu, the WHL is one of the three major Canadian junior leagues that make up the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). And Constantine will be the first coach in the history of the new club, as ownership of the Winnipeg Ice was bought a month ago and the team moved from the Canadian city to Wenatchee, Washington, which has a population of 35,000.

The American director justified his decision with family reasons, citing a job opportunity close to his place of residence.
Between 1993 and 2002, the 64-year-old served as head or second coach for teams such as the San Jose Sharks, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils, but he also previously coached the US junior national team. After his NHL years, the former goalkeeper worked in the WHL and AHL, and then was active in France, Switzerland, the Republic of Korea, and Poland. He came to Székesfehérvár two years ago, and took charge of the Hungarian national team a year ago.
