Manhart Lancia Delta HF Integrale 400

Manhart Lancia Delta HF Integrale 400

Without a doubt, the Delta HF Integrale is one of the most famous Lancia models of all time, with many remembering the hatchback not only for its distinctive looks, but also for its rally achievements: the Italian brand won six consecutive Manufacturers’ Championships in the World Rally Championship between 1987 and 1992, and took four individual victories during this time.

That’s why one of Manhart’s new products, which is essentially a modern, secular version of the Delta HF Integrale, might make a lot of people feel nostalgic. Powering the engine is the same turbocharged 2.0-liter, 16-valve engine Manhart Integril 400And its 375 horsepower hardly disappoints. No typo, the German tuning shop has of course modified the four-cylinder drive system, which explains the difference compared to the 200 hp offered by the original model. The maximum torque is also released in a similar way, which is no longer 298, but 550 Nm.

Other technical changes also prove that Manhart attempted to produce the sportiest Lancia possible, which, in addition to the more prominent rear spoiler, is evidenced by the lower ground clearance, stiffer bodywork and, to some extent, a sportier exhaust. At the same time, almost completely filling the wheel arches are 17-inch OZ Racing Rallye rims, behind which there are four-piston Brembo calipers at the front and two-piston calipers at the rear, so the work of the German company does not lie to itself in terms of the overall picture.

And speaking of the overall image, Delta has tried to put as much emphasis as possible on the sportiness of the interior, of course within a rational framework. An interior made of premium leather or Alcantara, Manhart EVO instruments on the dashboard and a 35-centimeter sports steering wheel add a lot to all this.

Unfortunately, they did not disclose how much it cost, but one thing is certain: Lancia with an iconic past, but completely new in today’s world, is not a cheap pleasure.
