A surveillance camera of a family home in San Diego recorded a man walking into the home’s garage to steal a $1,300 (nearly HUF 500,000) bicycle, he wrote. Washington Post.
The footage clearly shows that the thief is about to leave the house with his loot, when suddenly the family dog, a golden hound, appears.
Instead of barking at the strange man, the dog tried to play with him by wagging its tail.
The perpetrator saw the dog and went back to the garage where he beat the dog and then played with it for a long time.
Dude, come over here! You are the coolest dog I have ever seen. You are so cute, and I love you too! Where’s your master? You shouldn’t leave your garage open
He told her while the dog was lying on his back asking to be petted. The man eventually left the scene on a bicycle, to the dog’s regret.
Local police took part in recording what happened, and asked residents who recognized the man to report it to the authorities.
The thief had just exited the garage with his $1,300 bike when a resident of the house walked out.
