It is almost certain that Donald Trump will defeat Joe Biden

Former US President Donald Trump has confidently stated that he will have an almost certain chance of defeating Joe Biden if they face each other in the 2024 presidential election. Despite his connection to the January 6 Capitol riot and his alleged plan to stay in power He faces up to 55 years in prison for four criminal chargesThe 77-year-old remains optimistic about his political future. In the race for the Republican nomination, he’s also trailing behind his main rival, Ron DeSantis, who currently leads him by more than 40 points, according to polls.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Trump said he was confident of defeating President Biden. He reiterated his belief that he had an almost “100 percent” chance of winning the national election.

In addition to discussing his chances against Biden, Trump also commented on DeSantis’ performance at the event. He told DailyMail.com that DeSantis has a low turnout and performs poorly in opinion polls. Trump predicted that DeSantis would soon drop out of the race.

The bold statements came after a US judge warned Trump against making provocative statements that could influence witnesses before his trial. Among the charges against him is organizing to annul the results of the 2020 US elections.

On August 1, Trump pleaded not guilty for a record third time to four counts related to the Capitol riot and his alleged scheme to retain power. At the August 11 court hearing, there were discussions about the possibility of restricting what he could say before his trial.

US District Judge Tanya Chutkan warned Trump’s legal team against making vague statements that could be interpreted as an attempt to intimidate witnesses or bias potential jurors. He confirmed that he would take the necessary measures to protect the integrity of the process.

The judge further made it clear that while Mr. Trump, like all American citizens, has a right to free speech under the First Amendment, that right is not absolute. He instructed both the accused and the defense attorney not to disclose, directly or indirectly, sensitive materials or their contents except in special circumstances.

Trump’s trial will begin in several months, and jury selection is proposed in December, so proceedings could begin shortly after the new year. Despite looming legal challenges, Trump continues to deny any involvement in the January 6 events that left five dead and several injured when his supporters stormed the Capitol in Washington.
