On Friday, August 25, BALATORIUM presents an exceptional opportunity: in addition to the Balaton Union of Nature, Science and Art, you can get a glimpse into the work of the ELKH Balaton Limnological Research Institute, one of the most famous biological research institutes in the country.
Wake up to the exciting world of natural science! Aquarium shows, freshwater mussels, laboratory work, miracles under a microscope, Lake Balaton from space and many other interesting things await you.
And if you want to dig deeper into the topic after the hands-on demos? During the lectures of our distinguished experts, you can get a glimpse of the diverse ecology of Lake Balaton, investigated using satellite imagery, the effects of habitat shifts and much more.
But Platorium offers more than that! Within the framework of the Environmental Cultural Week, artistic and cultural programs will also be held. Discover the artists’ work at the BALATORIUM Artist Residency, sample the C:N:P mini bar and end the day with a special film screening and discussion with the creators.
This event is not only for fans of Lake Balaton, but for everyone who is open to meeting science, art and nature.
Come and experience for yourself that Balaton is not just a lake: it is a scientific, cultural and ecological treasure!
