The Hollywood strike wave continues to take its toll, and this time Tron’s latest installment has been indefinitely delayed while negotiations stalled.

Nobody needs to know about SAG-AFTRA or WGA strikes. Lately, if we’ve been reading news about Hollywood, there’s a good chance that one, if not both, organizations we’ve come across. While SAG-AFTRA stands for Actors Guild, WGA stands for Writers Union. It’s a noble thing that they got together and basically brought Hollywood to its knees, but so far there hasn’t been a meaningful change in any of these matters.

Joachim Rönning, director of the upcoming Tron movie in an Instagram post He vented a large part of his frustration. According to his admission, filming was supposed to start this week, but instead 150 people on his crew lost their jobs. He urged negotiations and is perplexed by the fact that until now the whole of Hollywood lived for such negotiations as breakfast, and now they are approaching the issue in a serious, one might say, fasting manner.

Tron: Ares will be about an artificial intelligence program – played by Jared Leto – that merges with ours from the digital world. Rønning openly supports the strikers on many matters, such as keeping AI in check, because the writers rightly fear that AI may sooner or later take away their jobs as “cheaper” labour.

We hope that the negotiators will reach an agreement as soon as possible, where not only the world’s population watching movies will see the damage, but also human lives and jobs at stake.
