Nvidia DLSS 3.5 debuted this year, and it’s becoming clear how it improves the gaming experience

Nvidia introduced the latest version of its DLSS technology during gamescom 2023.

DLSS is one of the best developments that have made gamers happy in recent years (along with equivalent AMD and Intel solutions, FSR and XeSS), because it allows us to play the latest games at much higher frame rates than otherwise.

Nvidia introduced DLSS version 3.5, which will be supported by three games for the first time, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty which will arrive at the end of September, Alan Wake 2 in October, and Portal RTX.

One of the big innovations in the new version is Ray Tracing Reconstruction, which improves the quality of ray tracing in supported games. Trained with three times more data than DLSS 3, it runs smarter and gives better results, but the focus seems to have been so much on ray tracing that we can’t expect any other innovation from it.

In addition to the games mentioned above, Nvidia’s Omniverse platform, D5 Renderer, and Chaos Vantage also benefit from it.

Like DLSS 3, DLSS 3.5 will only be supported by Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 video cards.
