He publicly criticized his prime minister, Kim Jong Un

Kim Jong Un North Korean leader publicly scolded his country’s prime minister harshly Kim Tokhon North Korea’s state media said on Tuesday that North Korea and other high-ranking officials have been blamed for their irresponsible response to floods that hit farmland on the country’s west coast.

In North Korea, summer floods often cause severe damage to farmland due to poor sanitation and deforestation. According to observers, by criticizing senior officials, Kim Jong-un may try to shift responsibility for the country’s economic difficulties and food insecurity to them, but with this step he may also consider a shift in supreme power. Ranking leadership.

On Monday, Kim visited the country’s west coast, where seawater recently destroyed a dam, flooding more than 270 hectares of rice fields. According to the North’s Korean Central News Agency, the leader accused members of the government of “irresponsible dereliction of duty” after his visit.

The North Korean leader also scolded the country’s deputy prime minister for “failing to faithfully fulfill his duties.”

In recent years, the administrative and economic discipline of the Kim Tukhon government has seriously collapsed, and as a result, the lazy people are degrading the economic activity of the state with irresponsible working methods.

Kim Jong Un said, according to the Korean Central News Agency.

Kim described the recent floods as a man-made disaster and pointed to a failed construction project that was supposed to improve sanitation in the area. He added that the investment continued despite the discovery of a large leak. He ordered severe disciplinary action against those responsible for the flood damage.

Observers say the measures ordered by the leader appear unusually strong, given the lack of reports of flood-related deaths. They say Kim could use the floods to reconfigure his government and boost public confidence while he works to revive an economy battered by the coronavirus.

Outside experts believe that North Korea’s current food shortages and economic problems have been exacerbated by strict pandemic restrictions, UN sanctions and the country’s mismanagement.
