His work cannot be completely called neighborly love.
Perhaps it is not well known in our country, but Netflix, founded in 1997, was originally an online video store in the United States. Customers could borrow DVDs from him, the post office took care of delivering them and returning them, and it wasn’t until 2010 that the company launched an international video streaming service.
Despite the drastic turnaround in its business, Netflix stuck with the DVD rental business until the end and will now close the business on September 29. After that, you won’t need your huge warehouse anymore, so you’ve announced additional discounts. Those who took advantage of the offer through August 29th received ten DVDs randomly selected from their Wish List with their final order.
Netflix now explained, that DVDs not returned by September 29, 2023 are absolutely unclaimed, customers can keep them, and they won’t charge anything for them. This can be thought of as a parting gift, although it actually means that you will have to throw away fewer DVDs when you liquidate your inventory, which will reduce the amount of work you have to do and the huge cost of waste management.
