Last year, many countries were looking for alternative suppliers, because fuel from the Russian company TVEL, prof It was purchased from a subsidiary of Rosatom.

All over Europe, more and more people are trying to become independent from Russia.

Westinghouse has already signed contracts with several European countries. The American company is already capable of producing fuel for the VVER 440 and 1000 reactors.

As we wrote, Poland has tried unsuccessfully to produce nuclear energy for decades. In May, a contract was signed with the US companies Westinghouse and Bechtel to build three AP1000 reactors in the Pomeranian region.
