Google is making it more difficult for you to skip YouTube ads

Google is very focused on increasing revenue through YouTube too, there are more and more annoying ads, and blockers will be blocked. Fortunately, most ads can still be skipped after a few seconds, but the search giant wants to make sure as few people as possible use this option.

The “Skip Ads” button appears 5 seconds after most YouTube ads start, a new version of which is now being tested by Google. Naturally, the company wants this option to be as inconspicuous as possible, so the new button will be much smaller and almost completely transparent, so it won’t be noticeable.

The new version will appear on the desktop interface and in the mobile app, if the live test is successful. At the moment, it has only been updated for a few users, but it is expected that it will be introduced on a larger scale later.

Google is also trying to fight ad blockers, which are already sending out warnings to those who use them. If the blocker is not turned off even after the third notification, and the user refuses to subscribe to the premium service, then the launch will not work.
