Spirit Stage 1 is a meeting point within the capital hosting programs related to theatre, arts, self-knowledge and culture. Theatrical performances in the apartments await everyone who wants to become part of a new cultural community.
A new cultural space is opening in the center of Budapest, in Therese Corot, called Spirit Stage 1, led by founder Barbara Szaczach. The name and brand may already be familiar to those who have met or participated in programs that provide a stage for all activities that can deepen self-awareness.
Soul Stage was created by a group of four private investors including Dr. Marton Gyulay, Laszlo Cefraneks, Katalin Belovai, and Barbara Zakac.
The goal of the Soul Stage 1 project is to actively participate in the life of independent theaters and shows with as many performances as possible. The community space supports young people by providing a space and opportunity to introduce themselves to emerging artists. This is why Soul Stage 1 Residential Theater also advertises an orientation programme, within which they provide free space for rehearsals and performances, and also help organize the audience.
The purpose of Lakásszínház’s activities is to widely promote culture, especially nowadays, when the position of independents is very difficult and uncertain. Therefore, another important objective of the Foundation is to support those independent artists and bands who find themselves in a difficult situation because they are left without a stadium. Soul Stage 1 wants to help them too by providing them with a space where they can be creative, make people think and provide an experience for their viewers.
Soul Stage is a community place that, by thinking together and experiencing cultural experiences together, helps us connect better with each other, so that we can become members of an active community and live more harmonious lives.
The doors of the residential theater in Teréz körút are open to all people hungry for culture. We believe in development. We believe we can make our community better, so we can all do something.
In the September program of Spirit Theater 1 there will be independent evenings that the audience has seen before, but here and now they will be seen again on the stage of the Spirit Theater apartment, and we also await the audience with the premiere play.
