The Pro Filii Foundation of the Mészáros Group has donated approximately 70,000 2Rule products worth two hundred million forints to young people in need through the National Association of Sports Associations, the National Association of Large Families, the Single Parents Club Foundation and the Support Foundation. He added that through the Pro Filii Foundation, established in 2021 and covering the entire country, which brings together the charitable activities of the corporate group, it provides support worth 1 billion forints to those in need annually. Lorenc Meszaros added: The aim of sports donations is also to encourage young people to play sports, exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle.
Cristina Toth, Director of Social Responsibility at the Mészáros Group and Secretary General of the Pro Filii Foundation, said: Sport teaches humility, endurance and respect for each other, and the shirt that expresses belonging to the team also provides support. Highlighted: The sportswear of Magyar Sportmárka Zrt., founded at the end of 2017, has already been chosen by many professional, amateur and youth teams. He noted that the goal of the Pro Filii Foundation is to make the 2Rule experience possible for children who have not had the opportunity to play in a professional sports jersey yet. That is why more than 70,000 sportswear products worth HUF 200 million were provided to children in need.
Tamás Deutsch, President of the National Association of Sports Associations, which received a donation of HUF 76 million, thanked the Mészáros Group and the Foundation that, in addition to sponsoring others, they also had the idea of supporting young people with sports clothing.
Katalin Kardosny Gyorko, President of the National Association of Large Families, which received support of 66 million Hungarian forints, emphasized that sports is not just an after-school program for children; It teaches them teamwork, struggle and team spirit. He added that although the percentage of large families in society is five to six percent, 15 percent of children are raised in such families.
Anna Nagy, President of the Single Parents Club Foundation, which received HUF 45 million in support, spoke about the fact that half a million children are growing up in single-parent families in Hungary today. More than 40 percent of these families suffer from a difficult financial situation, and in 90 percent of them – about 260,000 families – only mothers raise the children.
They view sports as a preventive measure that helps them spend their money, noted Gabriela Bagge, chief financial officer of the Foundation for Supporting Vulnerable Youth Living in State Care (ÁGOTA), which received a donation of HUF 13 million. Free time is beneficial, and the sports equipment received will also motivate children.
