“I was really happy to get it over with and be done with it. I woke up with a little bit of a migraine but I just focused on what I needed to do and stayed positive. I went out there and skied the best I could, and I was really happy with the result. I want to try to cut as many as I can distances this season without blowing myself up too much. I’ve proven I can do that and still perform well at international level, so I’m kind of looking forward to that.”
Evanie Blondin
“I was happy with him today. It ended with a good start and a couple of close laps, so I feel good. I want to build on the 1500m I got and continue to ski well. The goal will be to get a medal at the World Single Distance Championships.
Connor Howe
“Honestly, I was there today to skate some really consistent times. I really struggled through yesterday. It’s not easy right now, and sometimes when we have real difficulties, we try to look for it too much. I just wanted to let myself skate and that’s what I tried to do.” today. [I’m looking forward to] Racing is so much more than that. I think the team is really fun. There’s a lot of energy – a lot of new faces and a first World Cup – and that brings a lot of joy back to what we do.
Isabel Wideman
“This was tough. I didn’t feel good but it seems like it’s really hard to beat Daddy in the 10K! I may still be skiing at Mass Start, but the 5K and 10K were my main events. I’m happy Because I managed to win them both.
