Minecraft is still one of the most popular games in the world, but fans are not happy with Mojang’s updates. In a petition, they called on the studio to not let good ideas go to waste.
The situation arose through Mob’s annual vote, in which players can vote among three possible options for which a new creature will be added to Minecraft with the next update. The winner is usually delivered by Mojang along with several other novelties, but the remaining two losers sink into oblivion. Yes, but this year fans can choose between a penguin, a crab, and an armadillo – all three very cool options, and it would be a shame to throw any of them into the fire just because the developers allowed players to vote in that format.
Since potential new creatures like the crocodile, the golden monkey, the roe deer, the white dolphin or the alpaca had already been mowed down by the mob vote (and they had wilder and more creative ideas too!), the community has now stopped crying. It now has more than 350,000 votes Petition Mojang’s attention is drawn to canceling the annual survey, as it generates too many unrealized ideas. We look forward to seeing what the outcome of this move will be.
