Szeged University | “Synthesis of Science and Art” – Zsolt Dobóczky Gallery at SZTE

As part of the program of the 27th Autumn Cultural Festival, Zsolt Dobóczky’s photo exhibition “Small and Large” with music opened on October 16 in the Rector Building of SZTE University. The images aim to showcase the lives of ELI ALPS researchers, bringing color to an area unknown to many.

In addition to being an electronics teacher at the Gabor Denis Vocational High School of the Vocational Training Center in Szeged, Zsolt Dubočki also deals with photography at a technical level. His exhibition opened this week in the atrium of the SZTE University Rector’s Building, titled “Small and Large.”

The exhibition was opened by Attila Pinter – artist of the Szeged Symphony Orchestra and art teacher at Gyula Juhasz Giacorli Public School and Primary Art in SZTE – with the sound of a trumpet.

Vera Horvath, President of the ELI ALPS Visitor Center, spoke at the opening. He pointed out that thanks to Zsolt Dubowski, the research institute has become distinctive because it “displays what is happening at the institute in images of artistic quality.”

The title of the exhibition symbolizes the dual nature of the images. The large refers to visible reality, and the small refers to the world of atoms. Thanks to the pictures, we can learn about the mysterious world of the laser center.

This is how Zsolt Duboschke describes his artistic attitude and his source of inspiration for the images: “Basically, science and art were actively present in my family, and I carry this with me from home. For this reason, it has never been difficult for me to find the connection between these two areas. My life has developed in a way It made me able to express my engineering inclinations not only in my work, but also in my art.”

The exhibition can be viewed until November 3, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Rector’s Building of the University of Szeged.
