The new Corsa is coming, the first Opel with a 48-volt hybrid engine

The best technology makes driving more fun. The optional all-digital dashboard – based on the Qualcomm Technologies Snapdragon Cockpit – provides a new intuitively operated infotainment system, and the color touchscreen can be up to 10 inches in size. Corsa brought adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux LED headlights to the small car segment in 2019. The new and improved system now illuminates with a total of 14 LEDs.

The engine compartment is also equipped with the latest technology. The Corsa Electric is now also available with a more powerful electric motor, and with the new battery it can travel up to 405 km on a single charge (WLTP). In addition, the Corsa – for the first time in the Opel range – is also available with a 48-volt hybrid engine. From highly efficient petrol to hybrid to pure electric, the new Corsa offers a driving mode to suit everyone.

Even the entry-level Corsa model offers a number of driver assistance systems as standard. The list also includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keeping and fatigue warning. Maneuvering and parking are made easier thanks to additional electronic accessories, including side maneuvering electronics and a new high-resolution panoramic reversing camera. The appearance of the new Corsa has also become more modern and elegant: the brand’s signature “face”, the Opel Visor, has appeared on the nose, and the rear lettering now extends across the middle of the tailgate.

Fans of purely electric and therefore emission-free engines can enjoy the benefits of the newly introduced 115 kW/156 hp version with a range of up to 405 km. (WLTP2). It offers a special driving experience thanks to the maximum torque of 260 Nm available from the start.

In addition to the rich standard equipment, the electric version has a digital driver information center, multimedia radio (with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), color touch screen, automatic air conditioning, 7.4 kW on-board charger, regenerative braking system and heating. Heat pump and 16″ diamond cut alloy wheels, they also offer a set of wheels.

Thanks to its rich equipment, the new Corsa creates a pleasant and modern atmosphere. Topping this off is the optional all-digital dashboard with a new infotainment system (depending on equipment), based on Qualcomm Technologies2’s integrated Snapdragon platform. Therefore, for the first time, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also be used wirelessly through the new system, and wireless charging of compatible phones is also possible.
