- Fierce fighting is taking place in the Klychevka settlement south of Bakhmut in Donetsk province, which was retaken by Ukrainian forces on September 17. According to Ilya Zhivlas, spokesman for the Eastern Ukrainian Forces Group, the fighting is taking place especially along the local railway line in order to seize it, as the area is being bombed by both sides.
