The app is no longer supported on older Smart TVs and Blu-ray players.
In mid-October, a previously installed or later downloaded Netflix app quietly became unusable on new, older devices. the Reports Based on Sony, Panasonic, and Hitachi smart TVs, among others, at least some Samsung Blu-ray players, the PlayStation Vita game console, and the PlayStation TV smart TV are affected, and the service is no longer available through them.
Based on user complaints, most of them are devices that are at least ten years old, so it is not surprising that their support has been ended. With justifiable skepticism, very few people used the products for Netflix, and ensuring they were technically compatible was just a hump on the back of the service, so I’ve now waved them goodbye without any ceremony.
Those who are left without Netflix on their TVs due to the situation have several options for a cost-effective solution to the problem, for example, they can connect a computer to their device or invest in an Android TV gadget that can be connected to the HDMI port.
