Gameloft has announced that Disney’s Dreamlight Valley will leave Early Access status at the beginning of December, but players can also say goodbye to the promised free-to-play model.
Although the developers previously promised in vain that Disney Dreamlight Valley would continue on in a free-to-play model after the release of the final version, nothing will happen. As of December 6, 2023, the Early Access period will end and we will still be dealing with a paid game.
“Now as we approach the official premiere, based on the lessons learned from Early Access, we have decided to transition the title to a paid game for the foreseeable future.” – It can be read in the studio announcement. According to the makersThe switch ensures that Disney Dreamlight Valley can continue to provide an outstanding gaming experience for everyone. “It’s important for us to keep our promise to continue offering free content updates with new characters, worlds, clothes, furniture, and more surprises in the Valley.”
Purchases that require Moonstones remain optional, and players can still collect these paid currencies for free via Dream Snaps and Chests.
The base game costs $39.99, while the Gold Edition costs $69.99, with the latter already including the Season Pass. The Rift in Time Season Pass can be purchased separately for $29.99 USD. Fans who purchase the Founder’s Pack on or before December 4th will receive all of the unique cosmetic items that come with the Gold Edition, which also includes 2,500 Moonstones.
