The IO Interactive team, which we can also thank for the Hitman games, is working on a James Bond game, currently known only as Project 007. An interview revealed that the adventure will be more like a Daniel Craig Bond film than a Roger Moore film.
Not much is known about the upcoming game, but it is known now Edge gave an interview With IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abran.
“Evidence at the office suggests that the tone of the game is more in the style of Daniel Craig than Roger Moore and perhaps a more mystical experience than the free-form adventures of the Hitman games.“It can be read in the magazine, then Abran was quoted:”It’s being marketed as a “realistic spy fantasy”, suggesting it may involve spy equipment – and perhaps be a little too far removed from Agent 47’s deadly goals.“
We also know that the game’s Bond will not resemble any actor according to the developers, as they want to create their own James Bond, which is not modeled on a single character, but on the entire franchise.
We’ll probably have to wait several more years for a release, considering the game hasn’t been officially announced yet, but we already know that Project 007 will most likely be a TPS game.
