After the introduction by György Erhardt, Head of the Library, Ferenc Jaspar, award-winning author Attila Josef “Why are modern historical novels popular?” He talked about contemporary fiction. He tried to define the difference between the short story, the novel, and the historical novel. The writing activity of Mor-Ban of K’ekskimet was particularly highlighted, for his writings on historical topics. He pointed out that many historical figures and events are revealed to the general public through novels. The popularity of historical novels, he says, is evidenced by the success of the book The Budapest Novel, which was published a few weeks ago, but the reprint has already sold out.
Historian Istvan Vijso gave a lecture on forgotten writers and poets in Kiskunhalas, presenting the lives and works of people who were involved in literature before 1945, who were associated with Kiskunhalas and created.
