Are you ready to see Michelle Yeoh make her way through another fast-paced action project? In just a few months, we’ll be introduced to her new Netflix series The Brothers Sun, and in the series’ new teaser, she’s more powerful than ever.
Netflix released the first sneak peek footage on November 10, which reveals that the show’s tagline appears to be “Mama Knows Best,” a reference to Yeoh. The 40-second clip features plenty of cool action sequences, and even a moment where Yeoh appears to put a drill into an enemy’s body. Pretty intense stuff.

There’s no official synopsis on Netflix as of this writing, but Tudum’s synopsis seems to give us some ideas about what to expect.
The Brothers Sun follows Elaine, the wife of a Taiwanese triad leader (Johnny Ko), who flees her home for Los Angeles after drawing the ire of some of Taipei’s most vicious gangsters. When an attempt was made on her husband’s life years later, Elaine realized she was in danger again, too. Her eldest son, Charles, following in his father’s footsteps, joins her in California to protect her and his younger brother, Bruce – who grew up ignorant of his family’s horrific deeds. Each of the Sun brothers carries their own secret dream, but they will have to survive the life they were born into if they want to start living the life they create for themselves.
The series is created by Glee and American Horror Story creator Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, with Falchuk credited as developing and Wu being credited as writing the series. Yeoh stars alongside Highdee Kuan, Sam Song Li, Justin Chien, Jenny Yang, and Joon Lee. Kevin Tancharoen, director of the 2009 Fame remake, will helm the project.
The trailer also gives us a release date for the series, which will arrive on Netflix on January 4, 2024. Needless to say, the show looks like a lot of fun, so it looks like we have something exciting on our watchlist for the new series. year.
