Promoting financial awareness among the elderly – With this goal in mind, Provident Financial Limited organized its national program “Retirement Academy”, Semmelweis University joined their initiative, and its experts conducted health education in a series of lectures. Baba is the first stop for the educational event, Dr. Tamas Aldoso caught the attention of the Pontifical Pensioners’ Association.

The first event of the lecture series took place this morning, and nearly seventy young people gathered in the lecture hall of the city library. The academy students were received by Eva Ban, president of the association, and then the mayor addressed the seniors. As he said, it runs in his family that people over the age of 60 or 65 become more vulnerable to new phenomena in the world than young people.
– External conditions and knowledge in the financial world change so quickly that it is difficult to adapt to them, which is why older people can become vulnerable. He said: We want to benefit and provide all opportunities that can reduce this weakness.

Marta Balfalvi, communications director at the financial company that announced the program, told us that in her experience, there are many initiatives aimed at improving students’ financial awareness, but there are few such opportunities for young people.
There are several generations in our country today who have never learned about financial awareness, and we believe that this development in their case will be very necessary. Moreover, they are the most vulnerable in light of the difficult economic situation.

After the first session today, the next session will be on December 5, and the academy will close in January.
