MTI wrote that it became official that the Portuguese Grand Prix would take place on May 2, making it the standard calendar for this year’s F1 World Series of 23 races.
F1 managers announced on Friday that they are now working with the promoter and the Portuguese government to ensure that spectators can also be present on the stands at Algarve Racecourse.
Portimao made his Formula 1 debut last October, with 27,000 spectators, then seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won the race, the first in Portugal after a 25-year hiatus.

In mid-December, the FIA’s World Motorsports Council adopted this year’s F1 racing calendar, which includes the Hungarian Grand Prix on August 1.
However, the date of April 25 was left free, at which time the first Vietnam Grand Prix, which was postponed from last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, was scheduled to take place, but Hanoi will not take over this year either due to a pandemic. Instead of the Asian venue, the stadium will compete in Portugal in a week.
The season starts on March 28th in Bahrain.
