Cyberpunk 2077 I just received a final welcome Via update Which added a number of fixes and new features, such as a working metro system. The new transportation system allows V to experience more of pedestrian life in Night City, including some random events on the train. One such event is the re-creation of a popular meme starring Keanu Reeves in a very sad (but relatable) pose.

The meme in question is known as “Sad Keanu”, and features actor Keanu Reeves (who plays Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077) She’s chilling on a bench somewhere, casually eating some food while staring at the floor with a sad expression. The original photo was taken sometime around 2010 by photographer Ron Asadourian, and has since become a recurring image shared online.
How to find the “Sad Keanu” meme on Cyberpunk 2077
To find Sad Keanu/Johnny, you need to update your game to version 2.1. Next, head to one of the newly opened metro stations (they are purple icons on the game map). In the metro, you have the option of fast travel, or a first-person journey on the game’s metro system. Choose the latter by clicking “Ride the metro.”
After a quick screen glitch, you’ll be sitting on the subway and can look out the window while traversing Night City. Unfortunately, you can’t get up and walk around on the train.
Sad Keanu is one of at least two events that can happen randomly on a train (the other involves someone begging for money). You can just spam the “ride the metro” option until you find it. Once you find him, you can just watch him sulking there, surrounded by some paper pigeons, with a sandwich in his hand.

Since Johnny Silverhand can’t eat due to being an engram and all that (and apparently there’s no smoking allowed in the transit system), I’d like to think that sad Johnny is just sad because after blowing up that building the world still sucks. Maybe he really wants to get the band back together, but he knows that too much time has passed. Or maybe he’s alone watching V get all these new romantic options. There with you, samurai.
