Location: Archaeological excavation in Borsodevanka (Part 2)

Archaeological treasures in corn!
This is the shortest way to summarize the final part of our presentation showcasing Bronze Age settlements. Behind the garden of Orczy-Prónay Castle in Borsodevanka, archaeologists are investigating the life of a society that lived in the period 2200-1500 BC.
Interestingly, in addition to traditional archaeological tools (brush, shovel, measuring tape), experts also use high-tech tools, i.e. the latest technology, during the research. Drones fly in, and laser and radar meters scan so researchers can analyze the area using 3D models. Borsodevanka is a very grateful area for them. Here, it is enough to disturb the upper layer of the earth in order to find fragments of a 4,000-year-old cooking pot or a thousand-year-old costume decoration in the corn, from which the people’s customs and living conditions can be deduced who once lived here.
