Groenk Deli, which has been operating in Venice for almost three years, is opening its second deli store in Balatonfüred.
“Life has made us jump into Lake Balaton, and on December 15, we will also open Balatonfüred deli at Jókai Mór utca 24. Gronk is moving in, Mór24 is moving out. We hope you love it at least as much as the Venetians do, we are putting our heart and soul into it also.
– We recently read about Groenk Deli in Venice In his Facebook post.
They describe themselves as a casual bistro and deli with a funky charcoal grill.
Their menu and concept at Balatonfüred haven't changed either: they serve food prepared on a charcoal grill, including steaks, one of the best burgers in the country and Groenek classics like green pea stew, stuffed peppers, fried chicken, and of course, their favorite Caesar crumble. They have a tight but stable menu. In addition, guests are offered fine wines, homemade soft drinks, small-batch beers, including their own brand and gin, and specialty coffee.
By the way, Groenk Deli in Venice became the Best Burger Restaurant of 2023 in the International Innovation and Excellence Award. No wonder they worked so much to perfect the burger.
Their hamburger buns are baked in house, and their beef burger includes a Charolais beef patty, all complemented by the highest quality sauces and toppings possible. The burger isn't overcrowded, and that's one of the secrets: If the meat and bun are good, there won't be much need.
In addition to the bistro, they also have a limited but high-quality selection of delicacies, including Mangalica sausages and many other Mangalica products, cheeses from the best cheesemakers in the country, but also mustards, jams, syrups, ketchups and pickles, mainly from local suppliers.
In Venice, they organize community-building gastronomic and cultural events several times a month, already have over thirty beer and wine clubs, and have sushi and Indian dinners and workshops, but they also have regular pizza days and literary evenings. They are now opening with similarly active momentum in Balatonfüred.
The opening in Balaton came suddenly, even though we have been working on opening more Groenk Deliks in the country for some time.
– says Emese Juhász, co-owner. –
At the beginning of November, we contacted the previous tenant, Mór24, as well as the landlord, and were able to rent the place at the beginning of December.
Since the opening came so suddenly, guests will be offered a limited menu for the first two weeks, but from the beginning of January they will continue to operate at full speed.
