Google advertises the new feature as being much easier than switching between apps. With its help, we can achieve faster results than, for example, taking a screenshot of some content and then letting Google Lens work on it. Circle To Search builds on Google's AI-powered multi-search feature, a feature built into Google Lens, which debuted in 2022.

The function supports multimedia search queries, so you can use both text and images for your search, while you can change search parameters within the Google application. Using the search circle, users can search for concepts, ideas, or any topic of interest in a more precise way. Google provides short answers directly in the answer box, so you can get the relevant information without having to scroll through the search results for a long time.

Circle to Search will launch worldwide on January 31, but initially it will only be available on the Google Pixel 8 and the new Samsung Galaxy S24. Of course, don't worry, the special search method will appear on several premium Android smartphones this year as well – that's a promise.
