On Tuesday and Wednesday, Janos Schack held talks heading a delegation in Switzerland, including at the headquarters of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva.
The meeting, which was held at the Particle Physics Research Institute, was attended, among others, by French laser physics professor Gérard Moreau, winner of the Nobel Prize in 2018, and physicist Jean-Pierre Rivol, who is president of the Scientific Council of one of the CERN centers. The minister explained.
He pointed out that every research result around CERN is almost immediately tried on some purpose that can be useful from society's point of view. Transmutex researches the energy of the future, examining subatomic particles, quarks and gluons, and attempts to produce safe future energy that can be produced in sufficient quantities for the needs of society and the economy.
In Hungary, at the National Laboratory of the ELI Institute, which works closely with the University of Szeged, research is being carried out, partly inspired by Gérard Moreau, which is organically connected to the question of the energy of the future.
