Jeep recently announced its first purely electric model, the Wagoneer St. With the world premiere of the SUV based on the Stellantis range's advanced large STLA platform approaching, the manufacturer has now released new bits of information to the general public.
It has already been revealed that we can count on a maximum power of around 600 hp and an acceleration of less than 4.0 seconds (0-100 km/h).
There are still no specific details about the battery, but what we can already know is that for vehicles based on the large STLA platform, we can count on a capacity between 85-118 kWh and a range of up to 800 km.
The six images just published show a car with a modern but not revolutionary design. The steep sidewalls are consistent with the overall brand image. The remains of the headlight and the traditional radiator grille look forward like a ship's bow, cut diagonally at the bottom; An LED strip runs along the entire width of the nose, and the brand's traditional seven-segment radiator grille is also outlined with lights.
The first images will likely show the top version of the Wagoneer S, which will also be particularly sporty: this is indicated by the lowered frames and the double wing that surrounds the rear window from below and above.
For the first time we can look into the passenger compartment of the large SUV of the future. In addition to the standard digital instrument cluster and central infotainment screen, climate control can be controlled via a secondary touchscreen, and a fourth screen is also installed in front of the passenger.
This design is not entirely new, as we can find a similar design on board the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer. This is also where the collaboration with audio brand McIntosh comes from, as they equip the Wagoneer S with a high-quality 19-inch hi-fi system.
Jeep promises to use high-quality, sustainable materials, there will also be color-changing mood lighting, and the Selec-Terrain mode selector, which aids in off-road use, will not be left behind. The Jeep Wagoneer S offers a two-part panoramic sunroof as standard equipment.
