Washington avenged the killing of the three American soldiers, as the drone struck a Middle Eastern capital

A high-ranking commander in the Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah militia was killed in a US drone strike. The attack occurred in the eastern part of the Iraqi capital, where the militia leader was, Abu Bakr Al-Saadi Two bodyguards were driving their car when they were in the line of fire. All three lost their lives as a result of the strike.

According to the Pentagon,The deceased commander organized several attacks against American forces stationed in the region. Earlier in Jordan, three American soldiers were killed in a drone attack, believed to be linked to Kataib Hezbollah.

After the event, the militia announced that it would temporarily suspend its attacks against American forces so as not to cause “embarrassment” to the Iraqi government.

US Central Command (Centcom) confirmed that the raid was carried out at 21:30 local time. There were no reports of civilian casualties.

After the event, a small demonstration took place in Baghdad.

Kataib Hezbollah is one of the largest and best-equipped militias in IraqFormerly affiliated with the state-sponsored Popular Mobilization Forces, it currently operates under the banner of the Iranian-backed Iraqi Islamic Resistance.
