So far, Silent Hill 2's release date has been remarkably quiet, and although we're none the wiser now, according to the game's producer, the work is almost there. There's a good chance we can hit him this year.
Even though Konami dropped a rock in Still Waters a few weeks ago and showed off a brand new trailer at Sony's State of Play presentation, we still don't know exactly when the Silent Hill 2 remaster will be released. Sony has confirmed the first trailer for 2024 earlier this year, but the publisher has remained silent since then.
Fortunately, series producer Motoi Okamoto recently sat down to chat with Famitsu The magazine colleague who revealed to him that the new edition “In the final stages of development.”.
“Unfortunately, there's not much I can say right now. As for the game, think of it as I always thought of Silent Hill 2, but with beautiful visuals that make it easy to accept among today's games, but bring back memories from the past.”
This is not the first time that development has been said to have reached its end. Shortly after announcing the game in 2022, the Bloober team announced that the work was slowly coming to an end, and they repeated the same a few months later.
In our opinion, the remake is already ready, Konami is just waiting for the right time to send it to stores on PC and PlayStation 5.
