A 2.6-ton battery pack is headed toward Earth, detaching from the International Space Station in 2021 and theoretically landing in Germany on Friday after three years in orbit. They don't know exactly where yet.
Three years ago, the International Space Station (ISS) dropped the pad, which has been hurtling through space ever since. According to NASA, the collection of elements was supposed to orbit the Earth for a maximum of four years and then burn up in the atmosphere. Now, its return to the atmosphere is imminent.

As the relevant Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection announced on Thursday, the mass will hit the Earth on Friday.
The object is a battery-powered platform that will be detached from the International Space Station, ISS, on March 21, 2021. The total size of the object is 4 x 2×1.5 meters, weight 2600 kg
The ministry announced.
picture according to The battery mass is expected to break into hundreds of pieces, some of which may still weigh several kilograms. It is not clear exactly where the fragments will end up, but according to calculations, a 35-kilometre-wide corridor could be affected in Germany, somewhere between the Ruhr area and Cottbus.
