The orienteering season began, during which the Tipu Cup was held on the hills above Pakuzd. Every year this event presents an exciting challenge for orienteering enthusiasts, and this year was particularly special, thanks to the large number of runners in Arak.
60 people from the association started the competition. Among the participants were many experienced competitors, but beginners were also represented in large numbers, showing that the popularity of the sport is constantly growing. The club's competitors achieved good results, but more importantly, the competition was also a choice for the national team. Based on their performances in the Tipu Cup, Zell Gissi and Gerjo Pinter will compete in the 2024 Central European Youth Cup competition in the selected Hungarian colours! They won't have much time to rest, as the Mass Start Team Championships and Ultra Long Distance Championships are taking place in Bakoni this weekend.
