Nestlé sells the Boci, Melba and Párizsi kocca brands to Cerbona (ARM Alba Régia Mercator Kft.).
Nestlé bought Boci and other brands damaged during the privatization in 1991 with Szerencsi Édesipari Vállalat.
We are convinced that Boci will be in good hands at Cerbona, and that the success of the famous brand with a long tradition in Hungary is guaranteed in the future.
– said Peter Nošek, Managing Director of Nestlé Hungária Kft.
Meanwhile, the sale of Boci allows Nestlé Hungária's confectionery business to focus on its strengths and growth-boosting brands such as the popular KitKat and the very popular Balaton.
We are very pleased that after successful negotiations, the 100% owned Boci, Melba and Párizsi kocca companies will be transferred to Cerbona.
said Tamas Mészáros, CEO of Cerbona.
In order to ensure continuity of supply, Nestlé will continue to manufacture the affected products during a transition period, thus ensuring that consumers have uninterrupted access to their favorite chocolate. The transaction will close on May 22, 2024, according to the press release sent to our editors.
