Baby J is back for more.
“John Mulaney Presents: Everybody in L.A.” is a six-episode special series written by and starring Mulaney that will stream live on Netflix during the Netflix Prank Festival.
Here's the tagline: “A six-part live-action show as John Mulaney explores Los Angeles during a week where everyone is funny.” The specials will premiere on May 3, with additional episodes appearing each night, starting at 10 p.m. ET, from May 6 to May 10. Mulaney will also perform at the Hollywood Bowl on May 4 as part of Netflix's annual festival, which has already featured just about every comedian performing at it.
Mulaney and Netflix have built a fruitful partnership together. Netflix is home to all of his previous stand-up specials, most recently 2023's “Baby J,” which, in part, found Mulaney speaking about his intervention and time in a rehab facility. “He still traverses the stage performing old-fashioned vocals, but with focused energy and measured calm,” IndieWire wrote in a review of the special. “He still knows the value of being able to be the butt of a joke, and that superpower and his timing are still as sharp as ever. 'Baby J' will appeal to fans new and old – without ever letting them lose sight of the flawed and fallible human at its center.” ”
In addition to the specials, Netflix is also home to Mulaney's “Sack Lunch Bunch” TV special, as well as the “Oh Hello on Broadway” recording with Mulaney and Nick Kroll.
