Index - Tech-Science - Windows 10's big spring update is coming

Microsoft confirmed in mid-February that the latest version of the Windows 10 patch, version 21H1, will arrive this spring. This follows Microsoft’s standard pattern

Two major updates to Windows 10 every year

Introduction. This update, which will be launched soon in the spring, follows the latest update in October 2020. For Windows 7, it is no longer supported by Microsoft, but if you launch it, you can still download Windows 10 for free to download the latest patches.

Sun Valley

While some useful new features are expected to arrive in the spring, it seems likely that Microsoft will use this shorter update cycle to prepare users for a major Windows 10 UI update running under the codename Sun Valley. “Sun Valley” is a redesign program that will also touch on the most frequently used controls, the Start Menu, Action Center, and File Manager.

As a Windows Insider Program participant, the author recently received a very big (beta) update that first switched Windows to a new profile, and

Already showed a cleaner facade in Sun Valley,

But when you return to your profile, the old design reverts again. (Since then, though, he’s been unable to switch to anything other than his own profile, presumably due to a bug.)

It was a “Cumulative Update” for 2021-03, codenamed KB5000802 – and is still official “for Windows 20H2-based systems”. This is likely an early, non-final update only insiders receive, and this is an “early” April update, which is already present on every user’s computer.

What is the 21H1 version of Windows 10?

Windows 10 21H1 will be the latest update to Microsoft’s operating system, which will be available to everyone soon. These repairs usually arrive in April or May.

Usually Microsoft releases a major feature update in the spring and a smaller update in the fall. But it appears that the 21H1 release this time is also a minor update rather than a major patch.

What new features does the update include?

According to Microsoft’s blog, new Windows 10 features include:

  • Windows Hello multi-camera support, allowing users to choose an external camera when using high-definition displays with built-in cameras.
  • Improvements to Windows Defender Application Guard, including improved document opening times.
  • Improvements to the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC) update to support remote work.
  • “The features released in the update focus on the core experiences that customers have said they currently trust the most,” the post said. “So we improved this release to support our customers’ most urgent needs.”

According to Digital Trends, the patch also includes new icons, updated settings pages, and some changes to the Cortana experience and the search box.

When can I download the new update?

Microsoft says the Windows 10 21H1 update will be available “in the first half of the year” (again in the spring). Windows Central has reported that it will arrive in May, although Microsoft has not confirmed this.

Last Wednesday, Microsoft began rolling out the 21H1 build for Windows Insider members in the Beta Program. New features will be introduced in future Windows Insider Preview releases as they are ready.

When an update is generally available, the H1 Service Update (first half of calendar year) will ship with Microsoft’s service technology first. This means it arrives in the same way as Windows 10 monthly updates. The October 2020 Update will be shown in the same manner. If you are already running Windows 10 2004 or 20H2, then

The latest update will install with a quick install.

When it becomes available in the spring, you can download version 21H1 at Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update Then tap Check for updates. If it is already available, the text “Upgrade to Windows 10 21H1” will appear. Click the Download and Install button and you are good to go.

What can you expect this year?

October 2020 At the conference, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that Microsoft will “redouble its efforts” in Windows and PC systems and will continue the “more serious innovations” it started earlier.

This could be a major OS update for Windows 10 at the end of the year, leading to a major change in the user interface, according to a Windows Central report. According to the news, the codenamed Sun Valley update is one

It brings the redesigned Start menu, Action Center, and File Explorer with a more modern look and new features.

Sun Valley is expected to show itself in the holiday season of 2021, Windows Central says, but that could change.

On the other hand, Microsoft has stated that an update to Windows 10X that is designed for dual-screen devices only for single-screen devices is expected to arrive for the first time.

Finally, in principle, plus a design innovation soon Can reach It’s also an update (or part of a big update) that makes Android apps easy to install and run.
