The Oppo A3 Pro phone is IP69 water resistant

Oppo has come up with a new mid-range device called the A3 Pro, which, among other things, deserves attention due to the Dimensity 7050 chipset powering inside and the IP69-rated design.

The IP69 rating goes to devices that can withstand high water pressure, up to 100 bar, and steam cleaning, and of course do not have any problems if they are immersed in water with their entire body for half an hour.

The oppo A3 Pro has a 6.7-inch OLED display that displays content in Full HD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. The organic display also includes a fingerprint reader and an 8-megapixel front camera, which as usual is located in a hole. Protection against scratches is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The back panel is also equipped with tempered glass, which was developed by Oppo and is called Crystal Shield. This coating has improved drop resistance, but exactly what this means is unknown. The back of the sky blue device is made of this special glass, while the blue and pink variants are covered in synthetic leather.

The back of the smartphone houses a 64-megapixel primary camera, complemented by a 2-megapixel portrait module. The new product is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which, depending on the package, can be equipped with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or even 512 GB of storage space. The software interface is maintained by ColorOS 14 based on Android 14, and power is provided by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67W charging.

The 8/128GB variant of the Oppo A3 Pro costs approximately 102,000 HUF in local currency, while the combination with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs approximately 127,000 HUF in yuan. Pre-orders have already begun in China, and open sales will begin on April 19. There has been no mention of an international version yet, but since the manufacturer has settled its differences with Nokia, there is no impediment to introducing the new product to European customers at some point.
