Google's first bendable smartphone, called the Pixel Fold, debuted last year. So we can reasonably expect the next generation to be titled Pixel Fold 2, but according to a recent report, the smartphone will be completely renamed.
So there will be no Google Pixel Fold 2, and instead we'll be happy with the somewhat slimmer Pixel 9 Pro Fold. We have already heard that this joy could rain down on us in October as soon as possible, because Google will not be unveiling the device at its developers conference in May, but in the company of other Pixel 9 smartphones.
If we add to this new information those that we have recently heard, Google will delight its fans with a total of four devices in the month of October. In addition to the Google Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will also be presented, and according to them, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold mobile phones will also be presented. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will essentially be continuations of the existing Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, but the Pixel 9 Pro will be a smaller model with a similar design to the Pixel 9, but with more serious hardware.
All four smartphones are powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset. The Google Pixel Fold 2 name was recently changed in the company's internal communications.
