Although Dusk Golem recently reported a delay regarding Resident Evil 9, according to new information, all of this was inaccurate and Capcom will soon announce the title, which could be in stores as early as January 2025.
Resident Evil Village turned three this year, so fans can rightfully expect a sequel that Capcom will deliver according to the latest rumors. The well-known leaker of the series Dusk Golem Revealed on XInformation related to the internal leak of Resident Evil 9 turned out to be incorrect.
According to the master, the game will be announced soon, and a release could follow in January 2025. According to them, the previously leaked information – that the publisher does not expect a premiere in 2025 – was inaccurate. Exact dates are subject to change, of course, but according to Dusk Golem, things are going according to plan at Capcom.
In addition, the leaker reconfirmed previously known information, which is that Resident Evil 9 has been in development longer than any other part of the series, and its budget is also the largest. A more open experience awaits, as the RE engine uses the same technology as Dragon's Dogma 2.
Of course this is all just a rumour, we can't take anything critical until an official decision is made.
