Behind the scenes, they are already developing the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, as well as the manufacturer's first foldable device with a foldable design, which will be called the MIX Flip. The expected specifications of the MIX Fold 4 were revealed in March, and the MIX Flip received certification in China to support satellite communications. New details about smartphones have now been revealed, mainly related to cameras.

Insiders know that the MIX Fold 4 will be the thinnest foldable smartphone when it launches, taking the title away from the Honor Magic V2. Both the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 and MIX Flip will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will feature the same 50-megapixel 1/1.55-inch primary camera, which will also be equipped with optical image stabilization.
A 60-megapixel OmniVision OV60A 2x zoom module with a 1/2.8-inch sensor size will also be added to smartphones with bendable displays. Not only does the Xiaomi MIX Flip have more photo recording modules, but the MIX Fold 4 also gets a fourth camera, which will be a 10MP periscope telephoto module with 5x zoom. For the first time in the series' history, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 will be designed with an IP rating and will support wireless charging.
According to the leaker, both devices will be released in the third quarter of this year, i.e. sometime between July and September. Depending on when exactly they arrive, the timing of the reveal may not be entirely appropriate, since the Xiaomi 15 will debut in mid-October and, according to preliminary information, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will be used in it.
