A support system worth 150 billion Hungarian forints for job seekers over 30 years old will be available from Thursday, the state minister in charge of employment policy said on the current M1 channel on Thursday.
Sandor Zomba added that they plan to treat 77,000 people, support 50,000 and engage 23,000 in training.
He added that today 120,000 inactive people can work in Hungary, and the number of registered job seekers is about 230,000.
According to its description, the program consists of five components: a maximum monthly wage subsidy of 250,000 forints is provided, and a sublease contribution of 186,000 forints can be used as a housing subsidy for a maximum of 12 months, in the case of a workplace within 60 months. km, a contribution of 10-12,000 forints is paid for travel every 10 km, and training is also available. In addition, there will be employment support services, where those who have not worked for years must also be made mentally fit for work.
The Minister of State announced that the program also contributes monthly to living expenses as an incentive allowance for job seekers.
The target group for support is the long-term unemployed, people living in deprived areas, people over 50 years of age, and those who have completed no more than 8 classes of primary school. Non-deprived people receive a contribution to their wages for four months, while disadvantaged people receive a contribution for six months.
Sandor Zomba also said that Hungary's employment rate for those aged 20 to 60 is 81 percent, the seventh best figure in the European Union. The goal is to reach 85%, which would be among the top three indicators of employment in the EU. He believed there was a real opportunity for this: “By kick-starting economic growth, we can improve employment data even further.”
