Samsung's latest smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic, support up to 10W charging.

Well, it looks like the company's upcoming smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch7, will offer 50% faster charging speeds than the current models. We recently reported that the FCC has listed the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch7 FE on its website. Well, after taking a closer look at the listing, we discovered documents that reveal that the Galaxy Watch7 supports 15W charging.

According to the certification documents, one of the four versions of the Galaxy Watch7, the SM-L305, supports 5V, 3A charging, which means 15W. The other three versions of the upcoming smartwatch, the SM-L300, SM-L310 and SM-L315, should also feature 15W charging.

This means that the Galaxy Watch7 theoretically needs 50% less time to charge than the Galaxy Watch6, which takes about an hour and thirty minutes to charge from 0% to 100%. So in theory, the Galaxy Watch7 only takes 45 minutes to charge from empty to full.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 FE has a much slower charging speed

Unfortunately, Samsung hasn't extended the faster charging speed to the Galaxy Watch7 FE. In fact, certification documents show that the Galaxy Watch7 FE only supports 5W charging, which is 50% slower than the Galaxy Watch6's capability.
